Slow Down and Enjoy Your Life!

These days we all get so wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of life. Sometimes we forget to slow down and really enjoy the things that are truly important. These are also the same things that help keep us grounded and give our bodies a chance to recover from the every day stress that we all deal with. Here are a few key tips to help you accomplish this.

*TAKE TIME TO PRIORITIZE DAILY OBJECTIVES - Setting things up like this, really helps put into perspective what is a priority and what doesn't have to happen immediately. Helps to keep you from spinning your wheels in a circle, not knowing if you are coming or going.

*CUT PERSONAL INTERNET USE IN HALF - This is a big one for most of us. Unfortunately most of our everyday life involves the internet. But we do have control over what is necessary and what isn't necessary on the internet. Give yourself a break from half of your personal use for a few days. You will be surprised how freeing it really is.

*ENJOY NATURE - Nature is beautiful!! It also naturally calms us down. Spend some time every day just taking in all that nature has to offer.

*EAT SLOWER - Truly enjoy your food. Chew well and really savor all the flavors. Eating is not intended to be a race and it isn't good for your gut to swallow food that hasn't been adequately chewed. Make eating enjoyable.

*CONNECT WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS - Enjoy your loved ones. Plan special days to get together every week and do something fun. Check in on your loved ones periodically just to see how they are doing.

*MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF - This is one of the most important areas that many of us lack in and do not do enough of. Self-care is one of the absolute best things we can do for ourselves! Do something you enjoy, every single day. Whether it is reading a book, spending time in nature, exercising, spa day, having a bath, manicure, pedicure, whatever makes you relax. It is a great way to soothe the mind, body and spirit. As well as being an excellent way to recharge ourselves.

*GIVE YOURSELF MORE TIME - Don't rush everything! Taking time to do tasks. It not only alleviates the stressful feeling of rushing, things tend to get done correctly the first time.

*TAKE THE SCENIC ROUTE - Take the long way home from work. Change your walk or run routine, to enjoy places you have never seen.

*SIT FOR A MOMENT WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED WHEN YOU START YOUR COMPUTER - Give yourself a minute to relax and set a calm state of mind. A sort of mini meditation time. Mind set is everything. It sets the mood for your day. You have total control of your mind set.

*REMEMBER YOUR GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS - Don't ever forget who you are and the goals and aspirations you want to achieve. It is so important to remember who you are and who you want to become. Never stop striving for personal development and achievement.
